Dhenkanal: Villagers of Chandrasekharpur in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district were horror-struck on seeing Nakaphodi Majhi walking around with a severed head early on Friday morning.
He had allegedly beheaded his wife, Shuchala Majhi, suspecting infidelity.
According to sources, the couple had a fight last night and Nakaphodi attacked his wife with a sharp weapon. He was spotted by villagers while heading towards police station with the severed head and the weapon used in the crime. They detained him and informed police, which reached the spot and began an investigation.
