Jharsuguda: A man, his wife and 12-year-old daughter were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a car near Banipahada under Lakhanpur police limits in Odisha’s Jharsuguda on Thursday morning.
According to sources, the bodies were found in the playground of a school at Banipahada. All three have sustained bullet injuries. They were residents of Kali Nagar under Orient police limits in Brajarajnagar.
On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the bodies by breaking open the car lock. The car and a gun have also been seized. While police have begun a probe along with a scientific team, it is being suspected that the man shot his wife and daughter and then killed himself. However, the reason as to why he took the extreme step is not known.
