Lucknow: We have heard about the utilities of cow urine. Now, note the benefits of donkey’s milk.
Former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi has suggested that soap made of donkey’s milk helps keep women’s body beautiful.
A video of the BJP leader’s speech, where she is heard recommending the unique product, has been doing the rounds on social media.
Maneka, the Lok Sabha MP from UP’s Sultanpur, made the controversial remark while addressing a gathering in her constituency.
“Soap made from donkey’s milk keeps a woman’s body beautiful,” she said, taking Queen Cleopatra’s example to substantiate her point.
“A very popular queen, Cleopatra, used to bathe in donkey’s milk. Soaps made with donkey’s milk cost Rs 500 per piece in Delhi. Why don’t we start making soaps with goat’s milk and donkey’s milk?” Maneka suggested.
Maneka claimed that a community in Ladakh makes soaps using donkey’s milk.
“How long has it been since you spotted a donkey? The numbers are decreasing and washermen have also stopped using donkeys. There is a community in Ladakh which noticed that the number of donkeys is falling, so they started making soaps with donkey’s milk… these soaps keep a woman’s body beautiful forever,” Maneka asserted.
