Mumbai: ‘The Family Man’, starring Manoj Bajpayee, is one of the most widely watched and appreciated web series in the last few years.
The spy thriller, in which Manoj features as Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class man secretly working as an intelligence officer for the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell, saw its first season being released in September 2019 followed by Season 2 in June 2021 on OTT platform Amazon Prime.
Albeit delayed because of COVID-19 pandemic, season 3 is in the works, and Manoj is as excited as his fans.
The versatile actor revealed that shooting will begin by the end of the year.
“We are waiting for our contracts to come to our lawyers, and the process will start now. By the end of the year, I think we will start shooting. Once the shoot is over, it will take around 8 months for post production which is humungous. Family Man requires a lot of hard work mainly after the shooting is over,” Manoj told IndiaToday.in.
It won’t be before end of 2024 that eager fans will get to see the third season, but they are sure it’ll be worth the wait.
“I am looking forward to wearing the costume of Srikant Tiwari, getting back to the team where the children have all grown up. The daughter has become a young lady now, and boy has become a young man. Ab alag tension hoga (the problems will be different now),” Manoj said.
‘The Family Man’, created by the director duo Raj & DK, also stars Priyamani and Sharib Hashmi in pivotal roles. Season 2 featured Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a stellar performance as Raji.
The detailed casting for season 3 hasn’t yet been announced.
