Boudh: Security forces busted an arms dump of Maoists during a combing operation in Odisha’s Boudh district on Friday.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, district SP Raj Prasad said on a tip-off about the arms dump, a team of the Special Operations Group (SOG) launched combing operation in Nalikumpa forest under Manamunda police limits of the district.
During the operation, the SOG personnel raided a place near Sagada and busted a Maoist camp. They recovered a huge cache of arms and other materials from the camp. The search operation was continuing from both Boudh as well as Kandhamal sides, the SP said.
The recovered materials included 12cIEDs, 4 gelatine sticks, 4 locally-made hand granades, 2 SBGL live bullets, 1 bundle of Cordex wire, potassium nitrate, potassium nitrate powder, 2 ammunition pouches, electric wire bundles and 3 walkie talky chargers.
Besides, Naxal uniform, Maoist literature, blankets, solar panels, jackets, polythene sheets and food items were also recovered from the Maoist camp.
