Phulbani: A Special Operation Group (SOG) under Odisha Police busted a Maoist camp at Ladapadar reserve forest area in Summarbandh forest under Phiringia police limits in Kandhamal district, recently.
Acting on a tip-off about the presence of 15-20 Red rebels including 5 women, the team of jawans launched an operation in the forest on June 29. The SOG, however, faced no opposition since they had deserted the camp by then.
The paramilitary unit recovered 15 kg explosives, including urea and gunpowder, 28 detonators, multimeters, bag, blackcaps, rechargeable battery, camp equipment, Maoist banners, posters and literature, a press release stated.
