Rayagada: Several posters allegedly put up by the Maoists were found at different villages under Icchapur panchayat in Muniguda block of Rayagada district on Friday.
According to reports, the posters written in red ink by Bansadhara-Ghumusura-Nagabali division of the CPI (Maoist) have urged the district administration to provide food to the flood-affected people of the region for a year and houses under Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana.
On being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and seized the posters.
Security has been beefed up and police patrolling intensified in the district to thwart any possible subversive activity.
