Malkangiri: Following constant Maoist threat, a three-member family of Jantri village in the cut-off area of Chitrakonda in Malkangiri district had to abandon home on Saturday.
Sana Pangi, his wife and their 10-year-old daughter have taken shelter at relatives’ house near Steel Way Lunch ghat.
According to Sana, they had to vacate their house after the Maoists threatened them at Praja Court on Friday, suspecting a member of his family, who had moved to Andhra Pradesh in search of work, to be a police informer.
Earlier on May 13, 12 families of Ramaguda village in the cut-off area of the district abandoned home following repeated torture and threats by the Maoists.
