Maoists Dig Up Road On Odisha-Chhattisgarh Border

Malkangiri: Vehicular traffic on Odisha-Chhattisgarh border has been disrupted as the Maoists dug up some portions of a main road at Mahupadar village under Mathili Police Station limits in Malkangiri district.

As a result, vehicular traffic on Salimi-Mahupadar, Dangapal-Mahupadar, and Mahupadar-Mathili road has been disrupted.

The incident came to light in the morning on Tuesday.

Sources said the Kangeri Committee of the outlawed CPI-Maoist outfit has cut off the road communication in the area.

The violent activities of the Maoists in Dantewada, Sukma, Bijapur and Narayanpur districts in Chhattisgarh are reflected in Malkangiri district, police said.
