Koraput: Close on the heels of the alleged suicide by the minor rape victim in Koraput district, the outlawed CPI-Maoist has come down heavily on the anti-tribal policy of the Odisha government.
In an audio tape released to the media on Saturday, representative of CPI-Maoist, Jagabandhu said the death of the minor girl is not a suicide, rather she has been killed by the police.
He said the police has been torturing innocent tribals in the name of Operation Green Hunt. The central paramilitary forces are also making life miserable for the tribals by setting up camps in their locality. The state government, instead of punishing the guilty, has taken every care to protect these para-military personnel, he added.
Jagabandhu demanded immediate shifting of the camps set up by the forces in the tribal areas and urged the state government to punish those involved in the gang rape of the deceased minor girl.
