Jeypore: The Maoists have reportedly issued a death threat to Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Koraput district.
Handwritten posters were found at Badadural village along Koraput-Malkangiri border on Monday, asking the security personnel to stop operations against them.
In the posters, bearing the name of Malkangiri-Koraput-Visakhapatnam Border Committee of the CPI (Maoist), the ultras have also threatened the contractors engaged in various construction projects in the area with dire consequences if they continued with the work.
On Saturday night, a group of armed rebels has set on fire a mixer and a roller engaged in road work at Kartanpali panchayat under Mathili block in Malkangiri district, opposing construction of Sanagumma-Luler-Durkaguda road under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana.
