Malkangiri: In yet another barbaric act, a group of armed Maoists mercilessly killed a person and set six vehicles on fire at Dornapal in Chhattisgarh near Malkangiri border late on Monday.
According to police sources, the ultras intercepted three buses near Dornapal and asked all passengers to vacate it. They dragged a man out of the one of the buses and killed him on suspicion of being a police informer.
Later, the red rebels set the buses on fire. They also torched three trucks passing through the route before fleeing the spot.
Following the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and started investigation.
Combing operations and security has been intensified in the area.
