Bhubaneswar: Security personnel and police have tightened security in Maoist-hit districts of Odisha with the Red rebels set to observe their Martyrs’ Week from Sunday. The Maoist program will continue till August 3.
Police said they have sealed the Odisha-Chhattishgarh border and intensified combing operations.
Meanwhile, Maoists have put up posters and banners at several places in Malkangiri and Rayagada districts, urging people to observe Martyr’s Week.
Following this, the plying of government buses has been suspended in the two districts to avoid any untoward situation, .
