Rourkela: The construction of an ongoing road suffered a major setback
when a group of Maoists attacked a contractor’s camp at Kaliaposa
under Bisra police station limits in Rourkela of Sundargarh district
in the wee hours on Wednesday.
According to details available, the ultras attacked the camp and asked
the labourers of the camp to come out of it. They later set fire to a
mixer machine, one water pump and other equipment used for the road
construction work.
The police, after getting information, immediately rushed to the spot
and started investigation.
“No arrests have been made yet. However, combing operations have been
intensified in the area and efforts are on to nab those responsible
for the incident”, a police officer informed.
