Bhawanipatna: Armed Maoists allegedly torched a contractor’s camp at Kadamguda under Narla police limits in Kalahandi district late on Thursday.
However, no casualty has been reported in the incident.
According to available information, the Red rebels barged into the camp and set afire several road construction equipment and a water tank, opposing construction of Bhutigada road.
“The act committed by the Maoists is to terrorise people and the district administration. Combing operations have been intensified in the area,” a police officer informed.
