Maoists Torch Contractor’s Camp, Vehicles In Malkangiri

Andrahal: Continuing their violent activities, Maoists set on fire a contractor’s camp and several vehicles engaged in road construction work in Andrahal of Malkangiri district late on Sunday.

According to reports, a group of 50 armed ultras reached the camp of the contractor where the labourers were sleeping and threatened them to stop the road construction work. Later, they asked the labourers to leave the area and set on fire four tractors, a truck, one roller, a tipper and then the camp.
On Saturday night, the red rebels had mercilessly thrashed a villager at a praja court held at Naringijhola under Nakamamedi panchayat in the district suspecting him to be a police informer.
