Malkangiri: Maoists torched a JCB machine and beat up workers engaged in development work in Muraliguda under Kanta police limits in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
As per reports, 10 to 15 Maoists reached the site where construction under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is in progress and protested the work. When some workers present at the site protested, they were beaten up.
The Red rebels also took away a tractor from the spot.
On receiving information, security personnel the spot and shifted the injured workers to a hospital, said Sukma SP KL Dhuraba.
