Bhubaneswar: There has been a marginal drop in the pass percentage of the annual ICSE Class X and ISC Class XII examinations in Odisha this year.
As per the results, which were declared by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Monday, the pass percentage in Class X results in Odisha this year is 97.73 compared to 97.89 in 2017. Similarly, the pass percentage in Class XII results in the state is 92.29 compared to 92.87 last year.
A total of 7,327 students of 91 schools in Odisha had appeared for Class X examination, and 1,505 students of 25 schools for Class XII examination.
In Class X examination in Odisha, the boys outshone the girls. Out of 7,327 students, 3,807 boys (97.77%) and 3,354 girls (97.70%) have cleared the examination.
However, the girls outnumbered the boys in Class XII examination in the state. Out of 1,505 students, 702 girls (93.48%) and 687 boys (91.11%) cleared the examination.
