Bhubaneswar: The capital city saw a marginal drop in daily COVID-19 cases with 988 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours as against 1109 the previous day.
The COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar went up to 59,163.
Of the new cases, 166 are from quarantine and 822 through local contacts.
While the Old Town has a maximum of 51 cases, Patia has 50, followed by Nayapalli (49), Jharpada (35), Dumduma (33), Khandagiri (31), CRP Square (31), Chandrasekharpur (24), Mancheswar (23), Rasulgarh (23), Laxmi Sagar (21), Badagada (21), and Saheed Nagar (21).
On the other hand, 777 patients have recovered from the infection.
With 47,435 recoveries, Bhubaneswar currently has 11,418 active cases.
