Marginal Drop In Daily COVID-19 Cases In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The capital city saw a marginal drop in daily COVID-19 cases with 905 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

This is for the first time in four days that the capital recovered new cases below 1,000. On May 19, Bhubaneswar had registered 925 cases.

Of the new cases, 145 are from quarantine and 760 through local contacts.

Maximum cases were reported from Patia (53), followed by Nayapalli (51), Old Town and Khandagiri (39 each), Badagada (37), Sundarapada (30), Dumduma and Chandrasekharpur (25 each), Jharpada (21), Niladri Vihar (20), Laxmisagar and Sailashree Vihar (19), Baramunda (17), Jaydev Vihar and Patrapada (15 each).

Meanwhile, 1,021 patients recovered in last 24 hours. The total cases so far in the city stand at 6,99,02.

Bhubaneswar has seen 56,831 people recover from coronavirus. It currently has 12,732 active cases.
