Bhubaneswar: Thursday saw a marginal fall in daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha with 1385 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 1474 new cases on Wednesday, a slight rise from 1201 infections the previous day.
Among the new cases, 798 are quarantine and 587 local contacts.
While Khurda has reported the highest 159 cases, Cuttack has 109 followed by Mayurbhanj (103), Sundargarh (91), Angul (88), Nuapada (88), Balangir (77), Keonjhar (57), Bargarh (55), Jagatsinghpur (50), Kalahandi (50), Kendrapada (42), Balasore (36), Puri (35), Dhenkanal (33), Nayagarh (32), Bhadrak (31), Sambalpur (30), Jharsuguda (29), Koraput (28), Ganjam (23), Jajpur (23), Malkangiri (23), Nabarangpur (21), Kandhamal (11), Rayagada (10), Deogarh (8), Sonepur (5), Boudh (4) and Gajapati (3),
Besides, the state pool has 31 cases.
While the affected tally has touched 297274, Odisha has now 13,770 active cases with 282073 patients having recovered from the infection.
