Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a marginal rise in daily COVID cases as 529 more people, including 62 in the age group of 0-18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The infection count had dropped to 448 on Monday after remaining above 500 for five consecutive days. The state had seen 652 positive cases on Sunday, 526 on Saturday, 524 on Friday, 582 on Thursday, 593 on Wednesday and 453 on Tuesday.
According to the I & PR department, 308 of the new infections are from quarantine and 221 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest of 274 cases followed by Cuttack at 37. Nil cases have been reported from six districts.

Besides, 63 are from the state pool.
With these cases detected from 56,093 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.94%. The TPR was 0.70% on Monday, 0.97% on Sunday, 0.76% on Saturday, 0.78% on Friday, 0.75% on Thursday, 0.82% on Wednesday and 0.77% last Tuesday.
While the affected tally has touched 1032673, Odisha now has 5141 active cases.
