Market Shut In Baripada To Protest Gold Loot Incident

Baripada: All the shops remained shut at Badasahi Bazaar in Baripada
of Mayurbhanj district on Monday to protest against a loot from one of
the shops in the market.

“The strike call was given by the shopkeepers to demand immediate
action against the miscreants who looted gold ornaments worth several
lakhs of rupees from a jewellery shop in the market. If police fails
to nab the culprits, we will intensify our agitation”, an agitator
said.

According to police, some unidentified miscreants looted the jewellery
from the shop after breaking its grill last night. The matter is under
investigation.
