Cuttack: The marks verification of the students of Class X, Class IX half-yearly and annual examinations last year, and three practice tests in Class X this year commenced in all mentor schools in the state on Wednesday.
This is part of the alternative marks assessment adopted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) for the announcement of the annual Matric examination results.
The marks verification will continue till May 15.
For the verification of the marks, the headmasters have relieved the assistant teachers as per the directive of the DEOs.

The verification of marks registers and tabulation registers will be done in the presence of the headmasters of the mentor schools.
As directed by the BSE, neither the teachers of the mentor schools nor the teachers associated with the mentor schools will be allowed to verify the marks which will be done by the teachers of the other high schools.

After the verification, the headmasters of the 2677 mentor schools will submit one hard copy of the marks in the office of the DEO and keep one copy with them for future reference. The DEO staff after the re-verification of the marks will upload them on the BSE portal www.bseodisha.ac.in by May 20.
