Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested a 32-year-old married man for allegedly duping his girlfriend on the pretext of marriage.
The accused, Sasanka Sekhar Mohanta, works with a private company in Bhubaneswar. He lives with his wife and a child in Tankapani Road area.
According to police sources, Mohanta had got into a relationship with the complainant a few months ago. He had also reportedly married her secretly. However, the girl came to know about his first wife and insisted that Mohanta officially accept her as his second wife.
But when the accused started dilly dallying on the issue, the girl realised that he was duping her and filed a complaint at Sahid Nagar police station.
Following this, police arrested him on Monday and produced him in court on Tuesday.
