New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has built a housing township for its employees at Dharuhera, 30 minutes from its plant at Manesar. The township, named Maruti Suzuki Enclave, has affordable eco-friendly flats.
The enclave will have 360 flats when completed. The first batch of flats has been delivered.
This is Maruti’s third such housing project. The other two are at Chakkarpur, built in 1989, and at Bhondsi which was built in 1994. Both are in Gurugram.
The township has LED street lights, rainwater harvesting, sewage treatment plant (STP), water treatment plant, etc. It has used a modern Monolithic Construction Technology in which the whole structure along with the slab is cast at a single go, avoiding the use of bricks. This helps reduce pollution and time taken.
The company has facilitated soft loans for the flats and they will be managed by the employees themselves.
