New Delhi: Maruti’s S-Cross, which was originally a diesel-only model with manual transmission, has now become a petrol-only model with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Like other Maruti models, there’s no diesel variant.
The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is powered by a 1.5-litre Smart Hybrid petrol engine that makes 103 BHP power and 138 Nm torque. The same engine is fitted to the Ertiga and Ciaz.
It uses a mild-hybrid setup with lithium-ion battery for idle start-stop, torque assist and brake energy regeneration functions. The rated fuel efficiency is 18.55 kmpl.
It comes in 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The features include rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic projector LED headlamps and reverse parking camera with park assist.
Safety-wise, it gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors as standard across all variants.
