Maruti Suzuki is mulling the idea of adding a sunroof and two side airbags to the Vitara Brezza, according to a scoop posted by Team-BHP. The anonymous source mentioned that Maruti has floated a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) to vendors for multiple airbags and sunroofs.
This update could be the effect of Hyundai launching the Venue, and also the fact that all urban-SUVs like the Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV 300 have these additions.
The Brezza facelift is expected to get four airbags and a sunroof, along with an engine change. The new 94bhp 1.5-diesel and the 103bhp 1.5-litre petrol could make in-roads to the Vitara Brezza. Currently, the Brezza is powered by “India’s National Engine”, the 93bhp 1.3-Multijet Diesel from Fiat. There is no petrol option at present.
