New Delhi: The country’s biggest automaker Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday revealed that its Ertiga is the highest sold MPV in India.
It has achieved a milestone of 5.5 lakh mark. It consistently features in the top 10 cars sold every month and averages 8,000-9,000 units per month.
Launched in April 2012, it has been the best selling MPV for the last two years. The company also claims that 20% of its buyers are repeat customers.
The Ertiga comes with 3 rows of seats and is powered with either a petrol or a diesel engine. There is also an option of a CNG variant.
The Ertiga-based XL6 is a slightly premium MPV available in petrol-mild hybrid variant only.
