Maruti is expected to launch ultra compact SUV style hatchback S-Presso on September 30. Based on the Future S Concept at the 2018 Auto Expo, the S-Presso will go head to head with the likes of Renault Kwid, Datsun redi-GO and its own WagonR and Ignis.
The new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will most likely be based on the Heartect platform and will co-exist with its other hatchbacks. Like other Marutis, it is expected to come with touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control and other goodies.
The S-Press is likely to be powered by BS6 complaint 1.0-litre K-Series petrol engine that makes 67bhp power. It will come with an option of an AMT unit. The fuel efficiency number is expected to be around 24-25 kmpl.
The prices are estimated to start at about Rs 3.5 lakh ex-showroom and will most likely be sold via Maruti Suzuki Arena outlets.
