Maruti Suzuki and Toyota Tsusho India are reportedly planning to set up a vehicle scrapping plant in India.
The plant will dismantle and recycle old vehicles. It will also sell scrap and other products generated there.
Toyota Tsusho India is a subsidiary of Toyota that manufactures and deals in auto components. It also imports and exports auto components, and processes steel and other metals.
The need for these plants has risen with the government making it mandatory for cars older than 15 years to be scrapped in Delhi.
