Bhawanipatna: Unidentified miscreants reportedly looted cash from a bank ATM by cutting open the unattended machine at Bhawanipatna in Odisha’s Kalahandi district in the early hours on Wednesday.
As per preliminary reports, three miscreants entered the ATM kiosk of SBI in the wee hours and broke open the chambers the chambers using gas cutter and other tools to loot. The whole incident has been captured in the CCTV camera of the kiosk.
Three masked men can be seen in the video committing the crime. The miscreants have also damaged the CCTV cameras installed near the kiosk.
While the exact amount of cash looted from the ATM is yet to be ascertained, police have reportedly launched an investigation after being informed. Further details are awaited.
Senior officials of the bank were not immediately available for comment.
