Balasore: Two masked miscreants looted Rs 3.70 lakh from a businessman in Khantapada area of Odisha’s Balasore district.
The incident took place at Gopalpur near Kanakata Kantiachira bridge under the jurisdiction of Khantapada late on Friday night.
As per information, the businessman, identified as Dilip Das, was returning from a cement godown after work with money on a bike when the two masked miscreants intercepted him near the bridge.
The miscreants looted mobile phone, 2 gold rings and Rs 3.70 lakh collection money at gunpoint.
The two then called two others of their gang and handed over the cash and other articles before leaving the place.
The man informed the police about the incident. He lodged a complaint at the Khantapada police.
The police have started an investigation into the incident and efforts are on to trace the accused.
