New Delhi: A major fire broke out at a shoe factory in Delhi’s Alipur on Sunday.
On being informed, the Fire Brigade Department rushed to the spot. Several fire tenders were deployed to douse the fire, ANI reported.
According to Delhi Fire Services Department, the fire broke out at the factory and an adjacent godown.
The cause of the fire is to be ascertained. No injury has been reported yet.
In another fire incident in south-west Delhi’s Mahipalpur, a couple sustained severe injuries in a fire that broke out on the fourth floor of a building. The Fire Department doused the fire. The couple were rescued from inside the house and admitted to a private hospital nearby.
According to police, based on preliminary investigation, a leak in the LPG cylinder could have caused the fire.
