New Delhi: A massive protest was staged outside the Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s residence on Wednesday.

The activists, led by Youth Congress president BV Srinivas, shouted slogans against the BJP and the Karnataka minister as they held Eshwarappa responsible for the suicide of Santosh Patil, the contractor.
They sought Shah’s intervention to ensure the immediate sacking of the Karnataka minister.
Srinivas demanded demanded an inquiry against BJP leaders headed by a sitting judge of Supreme Court.
“Why is the Karnataka Chief Minister keeping silent? Who is he trying to save? A BJP worker died by suicide because of the BJP’s 40% commission government. The Prime Minister and Home Minister are also silent,” Srinivas said.
“We demand that Eshwarappa should be sacked immediately and arrested,” he said.
Eshwarappa and two of his aides have been booked for abetment of suicide in the Patil case. Eshwarappa has been summoned by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai.
