Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has decided to conduct the Matric supplementary examination in the last week of June.
“To enable students who have either failed to appear in the annual Matric examination or those who have failed in one subject, we have decided to conduct supplementary examination in the last week of June so that they can take admission into Plus II streams,” BSE president Jahan Ara Begum told mediapersons here on Tuesday.
Asked about the dip in pass percentage in the Matric examination this year, she said this is because of a parallel set of questions prepared by the Board. “Besides, the earlier rule of securing 15 marks in the subjective and objective papers has not been applied this year,” she said.
Referring to re-evaluation of Matric papers, she said the Board has decided to begin the process for re-evaluation from May 24. “The students, who are willing to get their papers re-evaluated, should apply online through the official website of the BSE (www.bseodisha.nic.in and www.bseodisha.ac.in) within 10 days. However, the Madyama students should apply offline for re-evaluation of their papers within 10 days from May 24,” she said.
