Bhubaneswar: India’s rich tradition of hospitality can make it a great tourism destination with more facilities, Jagadishwar Goburdhun, Ambassador of Mauritius to India, said on Wednesday.
India has always had a great tradition of hospitality and believed in the concept of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ which should provide the impetus for attracting more tourists and help the tourism industry grow, he said while speaking at the inauguration of the two-day international workshop on ‘Atithya: Past, Present and Future’ being held at the SOA Deemed to be University here.
Experts drawn from different sectors of the hospitality industry are attending the workshop, organised by the School of Hotel Management (SHM), SOA’s faculty of hospitality and tourism management, where evolving trends in tourism are being discussed.
