Puri: Expressing grave concern over the theft of cash and ornaments from the Mausi Maa temple, here, Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb on Thursday urged the district police to immediately arrest the miscreants involved in the crime.
“I am surprised and shocked over the theft of cash and ornaments from the Mausi Maa temple which is situated on the Bada Danda (Grand Road) of the Pilgrim Town. The police should take up this case seriously,” the Gajapati told the mediapersons here.
He said as the thieves are now targeting the temples in Puri town, the police should formulate specific strategies to ensure their safety.
