Bhubaneswar: The state government has set May 4 deadline for supply of academic books for Class-1 to Class-VIII.
Chairing a review meeting on status of availability of textbooks across the State, school and mass education minister Debi Prasad Mishra highlighted the fact that distribution of textbooks has been delayed this year. The Government has blacklisted the printing unit responsible for printing textbooks, he said.
“So far, about 42.5 per cent textbooks have been supplied for Class-1 to Class-VIII students. The target has been set to distribute rest of the books by May 4,” Mishra added.
