Maratha had made his foray into Odia film industry as a producer with ‘Katha Deli Matha Chuin’ .
THE DOUBLE MURDER
Sai was arrested on February 13 for his alleged involvement in the brutal murder of Kalpana Das and her 14-year-old daughter in May 2016. Their mutilated bodies were found near Sakambari plant on Hamirpur Marg near Raigarh on May 7.
The former MLA had allegedly bludgeoned the woman with whom he was in a live-in relation till 2016 when the latter insisted on marriage and demanded a share in his properties. He then got his driver Burman Toppo to run an SUV over the bodies to conceal their identities and pass it off as a case of accident, police sources said.
