Bhubaneswar: CBSE-affiliated MBS Public School in Bhubaneswar has decided to offer 25 per cent to 100 per cent scholarships in admission charges for “exceptionally good and deserving students” from the economically weaker sections of the society. The school is run under the aegis of premier Buddhist organisation Maha Bodhi Society of India.
The school has taken this step keeping in mind the present coronavirus pandemic situation and the difficulties faced by the students. MBS Public School issued a press release to announce this.
Being a Buddhist Society School, it charges lowest fee only to cover its staff salaries and maintenance expenses, according to the release. It has been awarded several times as the Best Economic School in Odisha. However, it has never compromised on quality of teaching. The school has fared well in the last Xth and XIIth CBSE examinations.
Students belonging to economically weaker sections are advised to meet the secretary in the school with documentary evidence to seek admission.
