Bhubaneswar: Three days after a girl student of BJB College was found hanging inside her college hostel room, another girl student was on Tuesday found dead inside a room in Odisha’s capital.
She was identified as Asrita Senapati and was from Tihidi village in Bhadrak district.
According to reports, the girl, an MCA student at a private engineering college in Bhubaneswar, was found hanging inside a room in Acharya Vihar area.
While some reports said she was living in the room on rent, some other reports said it was a hostel room.
Police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. A suicide note has been recovered.
Ruchika Mohanty, a Plus III, first-year student of BJB College, was found hanging in one of the rooms of the college hostel on Saturday. A purported note found by police points at ragging and harassment by three seniors as the reason behind the 19-year-old’s extreme step.
