MCL Employee Dies In Scooter-Car Crash In Odisha

Sambalpur: A person died when the scooter that he was riding collided with a four-wheeler near Hirakud railway station in Sambalpur district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Mishra, an employee of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Hirakud.

According to sources, the accident took place when Rajendra was on his way to office. A speeding car hit his scooter, killing him on the spot.

Hirakud police soon reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. A manhunt has been launched to nab the driver, who fled the spot soon after the accident, the sources added.
