Sambalpur: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) of Rs 17.54 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for infrastructure development in Nuapada, Balangir and Sambalpur districts of Odisha.
The MoU with Nuapada district administration is aimed to develop educational infrastructure at a total cost of Rs 4.35 crore, as part of the Aspirational District Programme of Indian government.
This support under CSR will ensure at least 51 additional classrooms are developed besides the facelift of existing infrastructure in 36 schools of Nuapada.
Under the MoU signed with Sambalpur district administration, MCL has earmarked Rs 7.56 crore under CSR project ‘Aarogya’ for enhancement of medical facilities at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla.
