Mechanic Dies In Mishap In Steel Plant In Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A worker reportedly died in a mishap in a steel plant in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Monday.

As per reports, the worker, identified as Charan Naik, was engaged as a welding mechanic in the Mechanical department of Scan Steels Limited’s Unit-II plant in Budhakata.

On the day, 39-year-old Charan, who belonged to Budhakata village, had gone to do welding work on a ladder. While he was getting down the ladder holding the welding cables in his hands, Charan slipped and fell to the ground.

Other workers rushed critically injured Charan to a nearby hospital. But the doctors in the hospital declared him brought dead.
