Bhubaneswar: A group of media persons spent some anxious moments as a lift used by them at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar got stuck midway on Sunday.
According to sources, the media persons had gone to the All India Institute of Medical Science, here in connection with collecting some information. After finishing their job, they were getting down it in a lift to come out of the building. But the lift got stuck midway.
On being informed, security personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the media persons from the inside the lift. A woman member of the team sustained minor injuries in the incident.
Chief of public relation cell of AIIMS additional professor Dr Pravas Ranjan Tripathy, who was present during the rescue operation, said the lift stopped midway as the weight inside its was more than permissible limit. The media persons might not have marked the caution notice and entered the lift in more than its capacity.
