Jharsuguda: A man died after allegedly being left unattended for nearly an hour at Jharsuguda district headquarters hospital (DHH) on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Khetramani Kisan (30), a native of Jalibahal village in the district.
According to sources, Kisan consumed pesticides this morning. His family members rushed him to Mundrajora Primary Health Centre. Later, he was shifted to Jharsuguda DHH. His family alleged that it took them 30 minutes to arrange for a stretcher to carry him inside the hospital and even after that doctors and the hospital staff did not attend to him.
On being informed, police reached the the hospital and sent the body for postmortem.
Investigation into the matter is on.
