Kargil: A medium-intensity earthquake hit Kargil district in Ladakh on Monday evening.
“An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred today around 07:01 pm at 146 km NNW of Kargil, Ladakh,” informed National Center for Seismology.

Earlier today, an earthquake of same intensity was felt at southern Iran’s Qalehqazi region in Hormozgan province, according to Iran’s Seismological Center. The epicenter was at a depth of 15 km.
