Meerut Boy Stabs Dad, Hurts Himself After Being Asked Not To Play PUBG

Meerut: The Indian government may have banned PUBG, but the Chinese gaming app is still proving to be dangerous for some families in our country.

In a recent incident, a youth attacked his father in Meerut with a knife after being told not to play PUBG.

After severely injuring his father, the youth hurt himself too. Both father and the son have been admitted to Meerut Medical College for treatment.

According to a report in Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, the incident was reported from A-One Colony in Jamnanagar in Kharkhoda town of Meerut district.

The accused, identified as Amir, used the knife to attack his father Irfan several times on the neck before he inflicted wounds on himself too. He then rushed out of their house with blood all over his body.

Reportedly, when onlookers tried to control him, he tried to stab them too.

Circle Officer Devesh Singh said the youth slashed his father when he asked him not to play the game. The youth is in critical condition.

According to Inspector Arvind Mohan Sharma, the boy’s family has said that he was addicted to drugs and was undergoing treatment.

PUBG was quite a craze among Indian youths. After it was banned, some have been continuing to play it illegally.
