Bhubaneswar: A memorial meeting in honour of former member of Central Board of Direct Taxes Shibaji Dash was organised in Odisha capital on Thursday.
An Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 1968 batch, Dash passed away while undergoing treatment in a private hospital in the city on September 18. He was 77. Dash is survived by his wife Prof Subhadra, son and daughter.
Known for his sincerity and honesty, Dash earned respect and recognition during his tenure as IRS officer. He also served in Defence services for some time.
Several prominent persons including former officers of Income Tax and state administration attended the memorial meeting and recalled his contribution to the direct tax services in the country.
